Egypt: Children taught cannibalizing non-Muslims authorized

Example given of authorizing cannibalism.

"I eat the flesh of my occupier!"

One of the most influential Muslim universities in the world has decreed that eating the human flesh of non-Muslims is permissible, as reported by WND.com on Jan. 29, 2013.

In a news clip WND.com attributes to Arabic language researchers Walid and Theodore Shoebat, the father-son duo reportedly conclude:

"In the future, the Egyptian Islamists will not only be conducting systematic violence, but cannibalism against Christians and moderates."

As initially aired on Egypt's Al-Tahrir TV channel, an unidentified guest cited the textbook entitled Al-Iqnaa" (The Persuasion), which is issued under the auspices of Cairo's influential Al-Azhar University. (See video link, lower.)

The publication which is aimed at Egyptian high school students reportedly cites the following specifics:

We allowed the eating of the flesh of dead humans … under necessary conditions.
It (human flesh) must not be cooked or grilled to avoid Haram (evil) … and he can kill a murtadd (apostate) and eat him.
The textbook does give the authorization for the eating of the flesh on non-believers, as well as the following:

Apostates [those who have converted from Islam to another faith].
Muslims who don't pray correctly.
Adulterers.
Those who have already been sentenced to death.
The source Al-Iqnaa references that okay cannibalism is the writings of the 8th/9th century Muslim jurist Abu Muhammad al-Shafi‘i, considered by Muslims to be the Father of Islamic Jurisprudence.

Reportedly, al-Shafi'i ruled:

"One may eat the flesh of a human body.

It is not allowed to kill a Muslim nor a free non-Muslim under Muslim rule (because he is useful for the society), nor a prisoner because he belongs to other Muslims.

But you may kill an enemy fighter or an adulterer and eat his body (716 in volume 1, Al-Kortoby)."

Not Just In Theory...

As reported, two Israeli soldiers were killed in the West Bank city of Ramallah in 2000:

“Two Israeli soldiers were beaten and tortured to death, their bodies thrown down a window to the sounds of ‘Allahu Akbar,’ and their flesh then chewed by the crowd.

Muslims in Ramallah held body parts of [an] Israeli while they cried out, ‘I eat the flesh of my occupier!’”

The Obama Connection...

During the Summer of 2009, Barack Obama spoke before political and theological leaders from throughout the Muslim World in which he stated in regards to the same university that now teaches children that eating fellow human beings is acceptable:

"For over a thousand years, Al-Azhar has stood as a beacon of Islamic learning, and for over a century, Cairo University has been a source of Egypt’s advancement."
