A relentless Chicago Sun-Times reporter investigating human trafficking in the middle east, switches places with an intended 14-year-old victim and places her own life in peril when she is discovered by a notorious smuggler. Forced to fight for her life, the reporter attempts to kill her abductor but the harsh desert journey from Egypt to Saudi Arabia derails her and the two are forced into an unlikely bond.
Now transformed from adversaries to companions, the duo stand against the traffickers he works for and threaten to dismantle a multi-billion dollar trade operation run by the large conglomerate, KPR Helcheney.
