أعرب الرئيس الامريكي باراك اوباما بصورة غير مباشرة ، عن تأييده للإطاحة بالرئيس المصري المعزول محمد مرسي قائلا" إن مرسي لم يكن قادرا علي تحقيق مطالب المجتمع المصري".

وأكد الرئيس الأمريكي باراك أوباما في كلمته أمام الجلسة الافتتاحية للدورة الجديدة للجمعية العامة للامم المتحدة في نيويورك اليوم الثلاثاء، على أن بلاده لا تزال تحتفظ بـ"علاقة بناءة" مع القيادة العسكرية في مصر.في الوقت نفسه قال أوباما إن استمرار المساعدات العسكرية لمصر متوقف على سلوك القيادة المصرية نهجا ديمقراطيا.

وأضاف أوباما أن بلاده لم تنحز إلى أي طرف من الأطراف في الازمة السياسية التي شهدتها مصر.
