The discovery of a new technique has doubled the speed of the Internet to 400 GB per second - اكتشاف تقنية جديدة تضاعف سرعة الإنترنت إلى 400 جيجا فى الثانية

توصل مجموعة من الباحثين السويسريين فى شركة "آى بى أم" لتكنولوجيا جديدة توفر سرعات فى تبادل البيانات على الإنترنت تتراوح بين 200 و400 جيجا بايت فى الثانية.

وأشار الباحثون إلى أن ذلك يكون متاحا عن طريق شريحة صغيرة للتحويل بين الإشارات التناظرية والإشارات الرقمية بسرعة فائقة واستهلاك قليل للطاقة، وهذا سيعمل على إمداد مراكز البيانات بسرعة فائقة تماثل أربعة أضعاف السرعة الحالية فى تبادل البيانات.

والشريحة التى عمل عليها الباحثون حازت على ترخيص من شركة "Semtech" ، ليتم استخدامها فى أنظمة الرادار المتقدمة، والمشاريع التى تتطلب توصيلات بالألياف الضوئية التى ستمتد لمسافات تصل إلى آلاف الكيلومترات، ولم يتم التأكيد بعد على إذا كانت هذه التقنية الجديدة ستستخدم فى الشبكات العامة الموجودة اليوم أم لا.

يذكر أن الحاجة إلى سرعات عالية فى الإنترنت أصبحت ضرورة ملحة بسبب كثرة أعداد مستخدمى الإنترنت فى الفترة القليلة الماضية، كما ذكر موقع روسيا اليوم.
