Members of the «Congress» demanding to cut aid to Palestine after reconciliation - أعضاء بـ«الكونجرس» يطالبون بوقف المساعدات إلى فلسطين بعد المصالحة

دعت النائبة إيليانا روس ليتينن، رئيسة لجنة الشئون الخارجية بمجلس النواب في الكونجرس الأمريكي، البيت الأبيض إلى وقف المساعدات للسلطة الفلسطينية كـ«ورقة ضغط» لإجبار الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس، للتخلي عن المصالحة مع حركة «حماس» وتنفيذ إصلاحات حقيقية داخل السلطة الفلسطينية.

وشددت النائبة الأمريكية في بيان نشرته صحيفة «المونيتور» الأمريكية، الأربعاء، على أن قانون الولايات المتحدة واضح بشأن حظر المساعدات إلى حكومة وحدة وطنية فلسطينية تضم «حماس»، وهي «منظمة إرهابية»، والرئيس أوباما يجب ألا يسمح أن تذهب أموال دافعي الضرائب الأمريكية للمساعدة في تمويل هذه المجموعة الإرهابية. 

وقال النائب تيد دويتش، إن السلطة الفلسطينية على مفترق طرق، وستواجه عواقب وخيمة إذا تم تشكيل حكومة وحدة وطنية تضم أعضاء من حركة «حماس» الإرهابية.

وفي السياق نفسه، قالت النائبة الأمريكية عن الحزب الديمقراطي نيتا لوي، العضو البارز في لجنة المخصصات بمجلس النواب، أن هذه الخطوة بلا شك تعرض المساعدات الأمريكية للسلطة الفلسطينية للخطر. 

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen , Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives in the U.S. Congress , Called the White House to halt aid to the Palestinian Authority as « leverage » to force Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas , to abandon the reconciliation with the movement « Hamas » and implement real reforms within the Palestinian Authority .

She stressed the MP said in a statement published by the U.S. newspaper « the Monitor », on Wednesday, that the U.S. law is clear on the prohibition of aid to the government of national unity comprising « Hamas » , as a « terrorist organization » , and President Obama should not be allowed to give the taxpayers' money belongs to the U.S. to assist in the financing of this terrorist groups .

Rep. Ted Deutch Said , the Palestinian Authority is at a crossroads , and will face serious consequences if the formation of a government of national unity with members of the movement « Hamas » terrorist .

In the same point , the MP said that the American Democrat Nita Lowey , a senior member of the white House Appropriations Committee , that this move that undoubtedly U.S offers aid to the Palestinian Authority to put in danger.
