"Snooty" .. the largest manatee the age of sixty-sixth - "سنوتي".. أكبر خروف بحر معمر يبلغ عامه السادس والستين

احتفل متحف جنوب فلوريدا التاريخي، السبت الماضي، ببلوغ "سنوتي"، أحد خرفان البحر،عامه السادس والستين، بحضور المئات من المعجبين بخروف البحر المعمر.

ولد "سنوتي" عام 1948 بعد أن أسر أحد الصيادين والدته حينما كانت تحمله جنينًا في أحشائها، لذا فإن "سنوتي" لم يختبر حياة البرية منذ ولادته، وربما يكون ذلك سببًا في بلوغه هذه السن رغم أن متوسط أعمار خرفان البحر من 20 إلى 30 عامًا فقط، كما يلقى البعض حتفه قبل أن يكمل عامه العاشر بسبب صعوبة الحياة البرية.

يشار إلى أنه توجد ثلاثة أنواع من خروف البحر أو بقر البحر وهي بقر البحر الهندي الغربي، ويعيش في البحر الكاريبي على طول السواحل الشمالية الشرقية لأمريكا الجنوبية ومياه الشواطئ الجنوبية الشرقية للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. ثم بقر البحر الأمازوني، ويعيش في أنهار الأمازون والأورنوكو، والنوع الثالث هو بقر البحر الإفريقي الذي يعيش في مياه شواطئ غرب أفريقيا. يعد بقر البحر الهندي الغربي والأمازوني من الحيوانات المهددة بالانقراض، وذلك لأنه يتم اصطيادها من أجل اللحم والفرو والزيت.

the historic South Florida Museum celebrated , last Saturday, to reach of the "Snooty", a manatee, its sixth session, attended by hundreds of admirers with the aged Manatee. 

"Snooty" Born in 1948 after the families of a fisherman and his mother when she was carrying a fetus in her womb, so the "Snooty" untested wild life since his birth, and may be the cause of reaching this age, even though the average age of the manatee from 20 to 30 years only, will also deliver some died before completing his tenth year because of the difficulty of wildlife. 

It is noteworthy that there are three types of Manatee or dugong dugong, a West Indian, live in the Caribbean Sea along the coast of north-eastern South America and the southern shores of the eastern waters of the United States of America. Then dugong Amazonian, live in the rivers of the Amazon and Alawrnoko, and the third type is the dugong African who lives in the waters of the shores of West Africa. The Indian dugong and western Amazonian of endangered animals, and because it is hunted for meat and fur and oil.
