وكان سكان القرية الواقعة في المنطقة الجنوبية من مقاطعة قوانغشى الصينية قبضوا على الصبيين يسرقان البط من إحدى البرك في القرية، فقرروا "تلقينهما درسا لن ينسوه".

وقال يونغ كو، زعيم القرية "هؤلاء المراهقون ليس لديهم احترام لأحد ولا لأنفسهم، إنهم يسرقون دائما للحصول على المال للشرب أو السجائر، ربما هذا سوف يردعهم عن المزيد من الجرائم".
