Nail polish protects women from "rape" - طلاء للأظافر يحمى النساء من "الاغتصاب"

توصل 4 طلاب من جامعة "كارولينا" الأمريكية إلى طلاء للأظافر يمكنه الكشف عن المواد المخدرة التي يستعملها المغتصبون للإيقاع بضحاياهم، ولاقت الفكرة إقبالا كبيرًا في الولايات المتحدة حتى قبل البدء في تسويقه.

مشروع طلاب جامعة “كارولينا” في إطار بحوثهم الدراسية لنهاية العام الجامعي، يتعلق بطلاء أظافر يتغير لونه بمجرد وضع الإصبع في الكأس في حال كان يحوي المشروب بعض المواد المخدرة وخصوصًا مواد "جي آش بي" أو "روييبنول" أو "جاناكس" الأكثر استعمالا من قبل المغتصبين لتنويم وتخدير ضحاياهم.

الطلبة الأربعة الذين يدرسون اختصاص هندسة المواد، تحصلوا على جائزة تقدر قيمتها بـ11 ألف دولار لتطوير مشروعهم، كما تمكنوا من التعرف على مستثمر مؤقت من شأنه تصنيع المادة.

وحسب إحصائيات نشرتها جريدة "لوباريزيان" الفرنسية على موقعها الإلكتروني انطلاقًا من تقرير للبيت الأبيض، فإن امرأة من كل خمس نساء في الولايات المتحدة تعرضن لاعتداء جنسي في الجامعة، ولكن وحدهن 12 % رفعن دعاوى قضائية في هذا الشأن.

وعرضت سلطات مدينة كارولينا شمال، على الطلاب مواصلة البحوث في إطار مشروعهم، واضعة تحت تصرفهم مخبرًا علميًا.
