اجتمع أكثر من 9000 ياباني في معبد سيداجى في مدينة أوكاياما في اليابان لإحياء مهرجان ميسورى للعراة على أمل الحصول على واحدة من تعويذات الحظ التي ألقيت من قبل الكهنة.

More than 9000 Japanese gathered in Saidaiji temple in the city of Okayama in Japan for Making the historical Missouri naked hoping to get one of the charms of luck thrown by the priests.

و يعود تاريخ هذه الطقوس إلى عام 1510، ويتعرض الكثيرون إلى إصابات طفيفة كل عام.

وتعتمد الطقوس على جمع الخشب المقدس من معبد قريب لعمل التعويذه والاستعداد للمهرجان، ثم يصلون الرهبان بوجود القطع الخشبية مرتين يوميًا قبل أسابيع من بدء المهرجان.

وعند وصول المشاركين يقومون بارتداء مئزر أبيض حول الخصر به ورقة تحمل اسمه وفصيلة دمه ورقم هاتف للطوارئ.

بعد ذلك تبدأ عملية تنقية الروح التي ترغمهم على البقاء في المياه المجمدة والالتزام بانتظار الكهنة لإسقاط التعويذة في المياه المقدسة لتعم الفوضى والمشاحنات للحصول عليها.

 

وفى النهاية توضع التعويذة في علبة من الأرز من قبل الرجال الذين حصلوا عليها بنجاح.
