Lorry driver spills SEVEN TONS of catfish on Chinese highway after door of his truck pops open driving over a bump
The cargo spilled along a stretch of highway in Kaili, Guizhou province, after the truck's door popped open
This is the moment an astonishing seven tons of live catfish spilled from the back of a truck onto a Chinese highway after the vehicle's rear door suddenly popped open.
Locals joined fire crews to clear up the mess armed with little more than buckets, before transferring them to a digger

It is thought the door was jolted open when the truck drove over a bump in Kaili, in the Guizhou province of China.
There was almost seven tons of catfish to clear, but remarkably it was done in under two hours
Hoses were used to keep the fish as wet as possible while they awaited rescue in the gutter
Fire crews and local residents joined forces to clear up the slippery mess, using hoses to keep the fish wet while they were painstakingly collected in buckets before being transferred into the scoop of a passing digger and then back into the truck.
Amazingly, the whole 6,800kg mess was cleared in under two hours,
