Saudi Arabia: the children suing their parents because of "the expense of the animals." - السعودية: أبناء يقاضون آباءهم بسبب "نفقة الحيوانات"

في آخر صيحات الدعاوى القضائية في السعودية سجّلت المحاكم دعاوى رفعها أبناء لإلزام آبائهم بدفع نفقة لحيوانات أليفة اقتنوها في منازلهم. أبرز تلك الحيوانات هي القطط والطيور وأسماك الزينة.

كشفت وزارة العدل السعودية اليوم أن المحاكم في المملكة استقبلت قضايا رفعها أبناء ضد آبائهم لإلزامهم بدفع النفقة لحيوانات أليفة اقتنوها في منازلهم لتربيتها في آخر صيحات الدعاوى في السعودية. وتعد تلك الدعاوى النادرة الأولى من نوعها التي ترفع في المحاكم السعودية إذ سجلت مناطق مكة المكرّمة (غرب) والقصيم (وسط) والشرقية أربع دعاوى من أبناء على آبائهم لطلب النفقة لحيواناتهم الأليفة.

وذكر الإحصاء الأخير لوزارة العدل، والذي نشر على موقعها الإلكتروني، أن مكة المكرّمة سجلت دعوى واحدة فيما سجلت القصيم دعويين والشرقية دعوى واحدة خلال العام الماضي يقاضي فيها الأبناء والديهم لتحمُّل تكاليف النفقة للحيوانات. يذكر أن بعض السعوديين يقتنون في منازلهم حيوانات أليفة كالقطط والطيور وأسماك الزينة والدجاج والحمام والببغاوات، إضافة إلى كلاب للحراسة. وتحتاج تلك الحيوانات إلى أطعمة بعضها باهظ الثمن وعناية طبية مكلفة ومتكررة وأقفاص خاصة لحمايتها وتعايشها مع بيئتها الجديدة.
