Egyptian Cabinet approves draft law on sexual harassment - مجلس الوزراء المصرى يوافق على مشروع قانون التحرش الجنسي

وافق مجلس الوزراء المصرى على مشروع قانون جديد لمكافحة التحرش.

وبموجب مشروع القانون الذى لم يصدر رسميا بعد فإن عقوبة التحرش قد تكون السجن لما بين ستة أشهر وخمس سنوات إلى جانب غرامات مالية قد تصل إلى سبعة آلاف دولار أمريكي.

الجماعات المعنية بحقوق المرأة أيدت هذه الخطوة فيما شكك البعض فى إمكانية تفعيل هذا القانون على أرض الواقع.

The Egyptian cabinet approved a new bill to combat harassment. 

Under the draft law, which has not been issued officially after the death of harassment may be imprisoned for between six months and five years as well as fines of up to seven thousand dollars. 

Women's rights groups supported the move while some have questioned the possibility of activation of this law on the ground.
