كشف تقرير إعلامي، عن ظاهرة نادرة في إحدى قرى اليمن، حيث لا يبصر أهلها إلا في الليل، ولا يتمتعون بنعمة الرؤية في النهار.

Revealed a media report, a rare phenomenon in a village in Yemen, where its people can only see at night, and do not have the grace of vision in the daytime.

وأوضح التقرير، أن قرية الخزنة في منطقة "بني الحسن" بمديرية عبس الساحلية في محافظة حجة، جنوب غربي العاصمة اليمنية صنعاء، يغلف العمى جميع سكانها نهارا مع سطوع الشمس، وتتحسن حالتهم البصرية مع غروبها.

The report pointed out that the Alkhazna area in the village, "Bani Hassan" District Directorate of Coastal Abs in Hajjah province, southwest of the Yemeni capital Sanaa, blindness enveloping all its inhabitants during the day with the brightness of the sun, and their visual status improve with the sunset.

وأشار التقرير إلى أن القرية التي تعيش حالة من الفقر المدقع مع نقص شديد في الكهرباء والمياه لا يوجد شبيه لها في اليمن، لافتا إلى أن الأطباء أكدوا أن سبب الظاهرة هو اضطراب وراثي.

The report pointed out that the village was in a state of extreme poverty with a severe shortage of electricity and water has no similar in all Yemen, pointing out that doctors have confirmed that the cause of the phenomenon is a genetic disorder.

من جانبه، أكد الطبيب المختص المتابع لحالة سكان القرية الدكتور حسين النفيلي، أن سكان القرية لديهم خلل يؤثر على مستقبلات الضوء في شبكية العين.

On his part, the doctor competent as observer of the state of the village's population, Dr. Hussein Alnevely confirmed that the villagers have the defect affects the light receptors in the retina of the eye.

وأوضح أن هناك نوعين من مستقبلات الضوء، أحدهما لاستقبال الضوء ليلاً والآخر للنهار، لافتا إلى أن سكان القرية لا يتوفر لديهم سوى 5% فقط من المستقبلات المسؤولة عن تلقي أشعة الشمس، الأمر الذي يجعلهم لا يبصرون نهاراً.

He explained that there are two types of light receptors, one for receiving light at night and the other for the day, pointing out that the villagers has got only 5% of the receptors responsible for receiving sunlight, it is available to them, which made them do not see during the day.

وأشار إلى أن حالة سكان القرية ليس لها علاج، لكن يمكن الاستعانة بنظارات شمسية طبية خاصة تساعدهم ولو قليلا في الرؤية نهارا.

He mentioned out that the case of the villagers do not have any cure, but they can use solar special medical glasses to hive some weak help in vision during the day.
