Deputy in Congress: the Obama administration supporting the Egyptian people against terrorism - نائبة بالكونجرس: على إدارة أوباما دعم الشعب المصرى لمكافحة الإرهاب

وصفت رئيسة لجنة المخصصات بمجلس النواب الأمريكى كاى جرانجر قرار الرئيس الأمريكى باراك أوباما، بإرسال عشر طائرات هليكوبتر من طراز باتشى لمصر بـ "المشجع".

وقالت جرانجر "إن القرار جاء فى وقت مهم بالنسبة لمصر، خاصة وهى تمضى قدما نحو إجراء انتخابات، وفى الوقت الذى تواجه فيه تحديات أمنية".

وأضافت رئيسة لجنة المخصصات المسئولة عن الإشراف على المساعدات الخارجية الأمريكية "إنه يتعين على الولايات المتحدة التعاون مع الحكومة المصرية ودعم الشعب المصرى، فى الوقت الذى تتجه فيه مصر نحو المسار الديمقراطى وتشكيل حكومة ديمقراطية".

ووفقا لقرار الرئيس الأمريكى ستقوم الولايات المتحدة أيضا - إلى جانب إرسال طائرات الأباتشى - بالإفراج عن جزء من المساعدات العسكرية الأمريكية لمصر البالغ قيمتها 1.3 مليار دولار، والتى كان قد تم حجبها فى أكتوبر الماضى، والمتعلق بصفة خاصة بدعم جهود مصر لمكافحة الإرهاب فى سيناء.

President appropriations Committee of the US House of representatives Kay Granger described , US President Barack Obama's decision to send 15  Apache helicopters to Egypt as "encouraging".

Granger said "the decision came at an important time for Egypt, particularly the move towards elections, faces security challenges. "

The Chairman of the appropriations Committee is responsible for overseeing u.s. foreign aid "the United States should cooperate with the Egyptian Government and the Egyptian people, at a time when Egypt is moving towards the democratic process and the formation of a democratic Government."

In accordance with the decision of the President of the United States will also-besides sending Apache helicopters-release part of us military assistance to Egypt amounting to 1.3 billion dollars, which was blocked last October, and in particular to support the efforts of Egypt to fight terrorism in the Sinai.
