ابتكرت اليابان حلًا عمليًا في مطار طوكيو ناريتا لكي لا ينتظر المسافر ميعاد رحلته وهو جالس على مقاعد المطار غير المريحة، فصممت أسِرة في كبائن بموقف سيارات المطار.

يبلغ ارتفاع كل كبينة متر وطولها 2 متر، وتم تخصيص 58 كبينة للسيدات و71 للرجال. 

وتعتبر هذه الفكرة عملية جدًا للمسافرين أصحاب الرحلات المبكرة أو الذين لديهم فرق كبير بين رحلاتهم، ولا تتعدى الإقامة في تلك الكبسولات أكثر من 9 ساعات بتكلفة 3،900 ين أي بتكلفة أقل من الفنادق.
