أن تصبح كفيفًا، أمر قادر على إنهاء حياة أى شخص وإفقاده أى وظيفة يعمل بها، خاصة إذا كان أحد الفنانين التشكيليين، إلا أن “جون برامبيلت” حالة نادرة حيث كانت إصابته بالعمى هى الشرارة المحركة لحياته المهنية كرسام ليبدأ فى رسم لوحاته فى 2001 بعدما فقد بصره نتيجة شجار مع مجموعة من الأشخاص.

حيث يقول “برامبليت” عبر موقعه الإلكترونى: “أقوم فى الأساس باستبدال كل شىء تقوم به عين الفنان الطبيعى الذى يستطيع النظر ولكنى أعتمد على حاسة اللمس”، يضيف أنه استطاع أيضًا حل مشكلة الألوان، حيث إن جميع زجاجات وأنابيب الطلاء الموجودة فى المرسم الخاص به مكتوبة بطريقة “برايل” البارزة، كذلك فإنه عندما يرغب فى مزج بعض الألوان معا يستخدم مجموعة من الوصفات المختلفة، حيث يقول: “أنا أقيس الاختلاف الموجود على أجزاء مختلفة من كل لون لأنى بحاجة إلى درجة مضبوطة من هذا اللون”.
Where he says “john bramblitt” through his website: “I am essentially replacing everything done by the eye’s natural artist who can look, but I rely on the sense of touch,” he also says he was able to solve the color problem, as all the bottles and tubes paint found in his studio written in a “Braille” outstanding, as well as when it is willing to mix some colors together using a variety of different recipes, where he says: “I measure the difference on the different parts of each color because I need to set the degree of this color.”
