Venetian Resort Hotel Casino
Las Vegas, NV, United States
1- Location
It is located just on the Vegas strip so just walk out any of the exits/entrances and you are in the middle of the action. All places of interest are just 5 minutes on foot (max). Wynn and Treasure Island are very close and the Vegas fashion mall can be accessed through the numerous pedestrian over passes.
The hotel is a complex formed by the Venetian and the Palazzo, both connected internally and externally and just few seconds on foot from one another. The Wallgreens store is in the hotel and can be accessed 24h a day
2- The hotel itself
Luxury, luxury and luxury. This hotel has it all down to the least detail and starts as soon as you get into the main entrance foyer. Just look at the ceiling and see the magnificent paintings all over it. Walk inside and get indulged in a really unique magnificent environment and decor that the Venetian surrounds you with the second you step inside.
Walking its halls is no less of a gorgeous experience, the hotel is luxury designed down to its smallest detail. Replicating Venice, and where the name Venetian probably was derived from, everything is developed to mirror the Italian style and perfection
3- Rooms
I booked a suite and compared to many suites I stayed in around the world, the ones at The Venetian definitely comes first place. They are very spacious with a bed room and a living room connected to one another with a small stair case and then opening towards a large window wall with one of the most beautiful views in Vegas.
Rooms are very well equipped with two large LCD Samsung TVs, one in front of the bed and another one in front of a large L shaped sofa in the living room,
Washrooms are also well equipped and everything you need to have a nice wash and clean up is just provided. Make sure you indulge yourself in that large tub, just relax and put the small bathroom TV on.
4- Service
Loved the service, everybody was so nice and welcoming from the doormen, valets all the way to the front desk officers and room service personnel. Everybody just have a smile on their faces and are ready to help you with any clarification you might have. The concierge service was also very nice, I wanted last minute tickets to a Cirque du Soleil show and they just got them for me at market price.
5- Prices
I paid around $700 for 4 nights and i think it was well worth it. Accommodation is cheap relative to what level and quality of luxury you are provided with. In room dining was somewhat more expensive as a meal for two would cost around $80 and i am talking omelets
Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Stayed here for 3 nights. Superb staff, food, cocktails. Although cocktails were slightly on the pricey side but were extremely good. We were extremely touched by the special attention given to our dietary requirements by the Chef. Chef deserves a Michelin star.
Great friendly and always smiling staff. They went the extra mile to make our stay extra comfortable. They accommodated most of our requests at short notice. The library concept is extremely unique and the interior design is worth a few gold stars.
40 Winks
London, England
A very special place run by a very special man. A true british dandy, David Carter will give you inspiration that will last you for a long time, even after your trip. The beautiful and quirky interior is both comforting and inspirational. If you are looking for something special this is your choice.
Les Cols Pavellons
Olot, Spain
We had lunch at the restaurant and then stayed the night in the hotel, and everything was perfect. The food was unbelievable - inventive, unexpected, gorgeous, and insanely delicious, and it kept coming! One of the best meals of my life. The best part of it was after we had finished seemingly 20 courses, they took us outside to the back lawn, laid down a blanket, and let us nap! And it was the best nap of my life! They gently woke us with espressos and dark chocolate. Oh it was magical!
The interiors are beautifully designed - minimal yet luxurious and set in a historic countryside full of lush gardens. It's the ideal mix of new and old. It's very modern and cool and you just are excited to be there. The service is traditional, attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Les Cols for an experience you will never forget!
Saint James Paris
Paris, France
After proposing to me in Paris, my fiancé brought me to this gorgeous chateaux! He had informed the hotel of our engagement and they did everything to make our stay special. The suite they put us in was absolutely beautiful. The decor was everything I expected to find in Paris - elegant furniture, chandeliers, and unique paintings.
Aside from the amazing decor, the dining and food experience was delightful! We enjoyed some of our best meals at the hotel, and spent a lot of time having drinks and snacks in the 24hr library bar. The service was perfection, and the staff were so friendly and sweet.
I loved all of the little extra surprises: Pilou the cat, gourmet gummies treats, and all of the lovely toiletries.
The Roxbury, Contemporary Catskill Lodging
Roxbury, NY, United States
Just returned today from The Roxbury from a Mommy Daughter two day trip with my daughter, my Girlfriend and her daughter to celebrate a birthday. WOW!!! How impressed I was. The decor of each room no matter the price category was impressive as the next!! Each themed room offered it's own special personality. We were given a tour of the unoccupied rooms by one of the owners Greg. Every aspect of the accomidations was well thought out and exquisitly done with the fineset of detail!! We had the best of both worlds and were able to stay in two of the rooms at the Roxbury. The first was the Geni IN a Bottle. Very cool for the girly girl in all of us. From the shiny matelic pillows to the glittery pink bathroom tile, to the very suttle but spectacular Geni bottles beautifuly placed throughout the room, it was magical!! As a surprise my girlfriend had booked the most mind blowing room on the property THE DIGS!!! It's a 3 bedroom,2 full bath, cottage that has a full brand new kitchen that anyone would die to have in their home . The Digs offers the best of the best. I won't divulge to much but know there are secerets to be found in this Mayan/ Archeologist inspiered palace that kept the girls entertained for hours. If We didn't venture out to Howe Caverns which is just about a 45min drive the girls would've stayed in the room the whole time expoloring. Howe's was a great experience especially while we stayed in The Digs. If we had more time we would of taken the girls snow tubbing or skiing at Belleayre MT. which I've been to several times and the skiing there is top knotch especially for beginners, but experts wont be disappointed either. It's also a great family ski spot too, and just a short 15-20 min drive from the Roxbury. Check out the Roxbury's website they list all of the awesome adventures you could take in the area attractions section. There are so many family and couple execursions in the neighboring towns that are easily accesiable by short drives through the beautiful Catskills. This is not your typical full service hotel its more of of a B&B but much more private then that and much more of a home feel because of the superior staff and friendlyness. It's a great experience all around for activity and relaxation we used the shimmer spa steam room and the stress of everyday just melted off. The Roxbury is geared toward Everyone, families, singles and couples young and old and everything inbetween. Greg and Joseph (Owners) Really have made a diamond in the rough with the Roxbury!! I'm going to be making my reservation for this summer as a suprise for my husband for our Anniversary... I think i'm going to be requestiong the Cream Pie Room and I'm sure it will be as sweet as it sounds!!
nhow Berlin
Berlin, Germany
Everything about the Nhow screams "Rock Star" ! From the brightly coloured, futuristic welcome received in the lobby, to the glowing, neon-pink lights illuminating every available window, the Nhow truly facilities the rock and roll ideal.
Customer satisfaction and friendly attitudes are clearly the main priority at the Nhow Berlin. The staff we're amazingly accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. We stayed in a Junior Suite and I would highly recommend treating yourself to the upgrade!
We were provided with a Gibson guitar (a free "to your room" service) and a medium sized keyboard piano, already as fixture in the room, which we made full use of. Nhow really is a place of music, the acoustics in the room were a testament to that.
We had a huge bathroom (you could easily fit 8 people in the shower if you wished!), with under floor heating and a beautifully deep bath. The free La Bottega products in the bathroom are to die for. I personally recommend the “Body Milk.” A thick, greenish-brown body moisturiser. Don’t be put off by the colour, the luxurious cream leaves you with the skin of an angel and, even better, smelling like sweet candy!! There are also two sinks, so no need to share and plenty of room for being vain! There was also a second toilet, next to the entrance to the room, introduced to us by our bellboy as our "guests bathroom" - naturally!
Nhow is by far my favourite hotel in the whole of Europe!
So if you're looking to feel like a rock star and keenly live out the whole "live fast, die young and stay pretty" adage, Nhow is the place to be.
Grecotol Mykonos Blu Hotel

La Sultana Marrakech
Marrakech, Morocco
our family, with 2 teenagers, stayed at La Sultana for 4-5 days, and could have spent a month- or more!
La Sultana is beautiful, peaceful, quiet and comfortable in the midst of bustling Marrakech. The staff is superb- and will arrange everything. Every room is gorgeous and different in design and decor elements- while maintaining your arabian dream.
You can walk to almost everywhere you want to go within the city walls which makes morning and late afternoon ideal for touring around easy and spontaneous (early morning runs recommended for optimal weather, nice orientation, less crowds, and a real picture of daily life in Marrakech). Breakfast or evening drinks on the roof deck overlooking the city surrounding you are a must for sunrises and sunsets. Mid afternoons are usually hot- so ideal time to rendevous back at La Sultana for lunch at the poolside. Although the restaurant is superb, the staff will help book the best tables at the best and most scenic restaurants in Marrakech for a few dinners. They also will arrange the requisite camel rides just outside the city. La Sultana is a must experience while in Marrakech, and a 'home' I would love to live in anywhere.
Room Tip: Every room is beautiful and unique. Some are larger- Ask staff about the options
