اعتبر الزعيم الكوري الشمالي، أن الوضع في شبه الجزيرة الكورية "بالغ الخطورة"، وذلك بعد بضعة أيام من تجدد التوتر أثر تبادل لإطلاق النار في البحر بين الشمال والجنوب وتوعد بيونج يانج بأنها ستجري اختبارًا نوويًا جديدًا.

وقال كيم جونغ أون، خلال اجتماع الثلاثاء مع مسؤولين عسكريين كبار، إن "الوضع الراهن بالغ الخطورة"، بحسب تصريحات نقلتها وكالة الأنباء الكورية الشمالية اليوم.

واتهم كيم سيول وواشنطن بالسخرية من إشارات الانفتاح، التي صدرت من كوريا الشمالية وبالمسؤولية عن التوتر الحالي، قائلًا: "الولايات المتحدة وقوى أخرى معادية تتجاهل نيتنا الحسنة، وكثفت مناوراتها العسكرية بهدف اجتياح جمهوريتنا سياسيًا وعزلها اقتصاديًا وسحقها عسكريًا"، مشددًا على أن الجيش والشعب في كوريا الشمالية لن يقبلا هذا "العدوان الأمريكي" و"سيمزقانه إربًا".
